In November, the CMN project supported ACF nutrition team in the western part of Ivory Coast to conduct SQUEAC investigations in three districts. The team was provided with a practical training, alternating class room training sessions and field exercises. They carried out the first SQUEAC with direct support from the RECO, and conducted 2 other SQUEACs in the other districts with remote support.
These coverage assessments were also an opportunity to explore how coverage can be affected by different barriers depending on each specific context in the same area, allowing the team to identify key actions for improving access and coverage. In 2 districts (Danané and Zouan Hounien), RUTF stockouts were identified as the main barrier to access, whilst on the third (Toulepleu), insecurity and limited community mobilisation activities prevented greater uptake
