Pertinent to the goal of SUN movement, which Nigeria is a signatory, the Nutrition Division of Family Health Dept Federal Ministry of Health in collaboration with CIFF, ACF, SCI and VI organized a 2-day CMAM Program Coverage Workshop to conduct Coverage Assessments In 11 States of the Sahelian Northern Nigeria. The workshop took placed in Abuja on August 14th and 15th and  the CMN anttended and  introduced the global strategy and the Coverage Assessments methods that will be used in Nigeria The implementation status of CMAM programme in the 11 Sahelian Northern States of the Federation shows low treatment coverage for the proportion of children in need. There is need to identify at a large scale what is the current CMAM program Coverage in Nigeria and what are the barriers and boosters to access to treatment. In that sense, a SLEAC will be conducted before the end of 2013 in the 11 mentioned states followed by SQUEAC at different levels to identify barriers and boosters. The CMN will overview these evaluations and provide technical support. Workshops will be organised at the end of 2013 and 2014 to disseminate the results
