This toolkit is designed to be a companion guide to the Semi-Quantitative Evaluation of Access and Coverage (SQUEAC)/Simplified Lot Quality Assurance Sampling Evaluation of Access and Coverage (SLEAC) Technical Reference written by Mark Myatt and colleagues with support from the Food and Nutrition Technical Assistance III Project (FANTA). The toolkit refers to the technical reference throughout all the modules and adapts some of the illustrations and vector graphics used to create graphics which exploit the functionality of the website format chosen. The toolkit has a modular structure with each module discussing a specific coverage tool. The modules give a brief description of the tool, specify the data needed to use the tool (if needed), describes how analysis of the data is performed and explains how the results of the analysis can be interpreted. Whenever possible, interactive graphics have been designed and created specifically for this toolkit so as to illustrate the application of the tool. Additional resources which can be used in applying the tool are also provided as links for download. Each module is also available as a PDF download which is optimised for printing. Interactive graphics and maps

The majority of the graphics and maps used in this toolkit are interactive unless otherwise stated. This means that the user can read annotations or tooltips embedded in the graphics and maps by hovering over specific areas of the graphics (this is generally the location of the data points). The tooltips generally show data which each data point represents while the annotations provide explanatory text. For some graphics, a link to download the data used to create the graphics is available. For the interactive maps, annotations and tooltips also appear when hovering over different parts of the maps. There is also a control button at the upper right corner of the maps that allows users to zoom in or zoom out of the maps. For some maps, a link to download the data used for the maps and a link to the full webpage map are available.

Document formats

All downloadable documents from this toolkit are either in Portable Document Format (PDF) or in OpenDocument Format (ODF). PDF will require a reader installed in your computer. Most current computers have this installed already. ODF should be accessible with any OpenFormat software (e.g. OpenOffice, LibreOffice among others) which are free to download and use. Microsoft® Office is also able to open these documents. However, distortion of either text or format or both can occur when Microsoft® Office converts an OpenFormat document to its own format. It is recommended therefore that one of the OpenFormat software be used to open and access the downloadable resources from this toolkit. More information on ODF can be found here.
